This project explores how the continuation of ghost stories in post-Reformation England nuances our understanding of religious conversion, and also demonstrates how examining the changing emotional character of these experiences helps us to understand them. It uses an innovative methodology to shed new light on a key historical moment: the English Reformation. It will result in two journal articles, an edited collection and is the first step in a larger, DECRA-length project.
