Dr Nicholas Heron

BA (Hons.), PhD (Melbourne)

Nicholas Heron completed his PhD in the School of Culture and Communication at the University of Melbourne in 2013. He is the author of Liturgical Power: Between Economic and Political Theology (Fordham University Press), which will be published in December of 2017, and the translator of Giorgio Agamben’s Stasis: Civil War as a Political Paradigm (Stanford University Press, 2015).

Nicholas joined IASH in January 2015 to work on Peter Harrison’s Australian Laureate Fellowship project on Science and Secularization. His current research pursues an intellectual history of the end of history diagnosis.
