Researcher biography
Dr Bernadette Cochrane is a Lecturer in the School of Communication and Arts. Her research is in the fields of theatre and dramaturgy. She is working on a monograph from her “Screened Live: A New Paradigm for Theatrical Performance” project. ‘Live screening’ has created new opportunities for innovation in creative economies. The complex of live performance, cinematic screenings of the live performance, and digital innovation is having a profound effect on performing arts companies, affecting notions of business models, accessibility, aesthetics, and attitudes to liveness.
During her fellowship, Bernadette will working on her monograph and an ARC Linkage proposal with colleagues from QUT and industry partners.
