The Grammar of Happiness (2012, 52 mins) Directed by Michael O’Neill and Randall Wood
This documentary follows the story of Daniel Everett among the extraordinary 'nonconvertible' Amazonian Pirah tribe, a group of indigenous hunter-gatherers whose culture and outlook on life has taken the world of linguistics by storm.
Each screening will be followed by an informal discussion with invited speakers, with plenty of opportunity for Q&A.
