Postdoctoral Research Fellow Applications Open

An opportunity exists within IASH for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to address the general theme of the relationship between science and religion with a focus on the modern period (roughly between 1800 and the recent past).

This position is funded in partnership with the “Science and Religion: Exploring the Spectrum of Global Perspectives” (SRES) project (funded by the Templeton Religion Trust). The SRES is a multidisciplinary research project whose aim is to build a better understanding of how publics’ and other actors view the relationship between evolution and religion, and by extension the relationship between science, rationality and religion. The project team is based in 8 countries worldwide, undertakes humanities and social sciences research examining social and cultural perspectives on evolutionary science, spirituality, and (non-) religion. The post holder will work closely with the Principal Investigator and Co-investigators (Australia, the UK and internationally).

This is a full-time, fixed term position until 31 December 2022 at Academic Level A.

You must have ongoing unrestricted work rights in Australia to apply for this opportunity, and be able to take up the position in Brisbane before 31 December 2020.
