1 Dec 2016

IASH congratulates Emeritus Professor Graeme Turner, whose book Myths of Oz: Reading Australian Popular Culture, co-authored with John Fiske and Bob Hodge, has recently been reissued in hardback as part of Routledge’s Library Editions series of classic Cultural Studies books for the international market. First published by Allen and Unwin in Australia in 1987, the book has remained in print since that time.

Routledge Library Editions re-issues volumes by some of the greatest thinkers and authors of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries from the extensive Routledge stable of imprints in the Humanities and Social Sciences.

Graeme’s outstanding contribution to the field has been further recognised in a book edited by Gerard Goggin, Anna Cristina Pertierra, Mark Andrejevic, and Melissa Gregg, all Postdoctoral Fellows in the Centre for Critical and Cultural Studies during Graeme’s time as Director. The book, What’s Become of Australian Cultural Studies: The Legacies of Graeme Turner, is published by Routledge.
