16 Apr 2019

IASH congratulates Michelle Pfeffer and Paige Donaghy who have recently won awards that will further their research and career development.

Michelle Pfeffer and Paige Donaghy

Michelle Pfeffer has been awarded a Lisa Jardine Award of the Royal Society for her project titled, "The Decline of Astrology in Seventeenth-Century Britain: A New Interpretation." The award provides early career scholars with the opportunity for travel and archival research. It will enable Michelle to spend June and part of July researching the history of astronomy in the archives of the Royal Society.

Paige Donaghy has been accepted into the Ischia Summer School on the History of Life Sciences. The school, held on the Island of Ischia in the Gulf of Naples, provides an intensive live-in experience and advanced training for a limited number of students. This year's theme is on Life and Death and will be held at the end of June.

We wish them each a rewarding and productive trip.
